Peter Klaren combines fiscal WBSO expertise with the ability to get to grips with technical development problems and translate them into the criteria RVO assesses. The specialist who discusses your project in depth is also the one responsible for the application.
Who is Peter Klaren?
Peter Klaren is a fiscal economist who has been guiding WBSO applications since 2004. My role is not to replace your engineer, but to quickly understand technical development questions and translate them into RVO's assessment framework.
Over the years I have guided applications at the intersection of software, machine building, electronics, energy, materials, chemical processes and production innovation.
I start with your technology, not with the form.
Peter Klaren studied economics at Erasmus University Rotterdam: drs. in economics (1994), as well as the first-year diploma in law (1992) at the same university. He has worked independently as a WBSO specialist since 2004.
Education and years of practice come together at the heart of the profession: translating a company's technology into the criteria RVO uses to assess an application — and back again.

Support with additional questions from RVO, objections to decisions and audit preparation.
My role in your WBSO application
I first assess where the technical development or research risk actually lies. I then discuss the project with the technical staff and translate their work into a project description that matches the criteria RVO assesses.
I write the application myself and remain involved with any additional questions, statements of realisation and audits. You do not get an account manager, but the specialist who writes your application.
Personally involved: Peter conducts the substantive intake, assesses the WBSO position and is responsible for the project description. Additional technical or fiscal expertise is brought in where needed.
